Volunteer!
What we do
IVC provides a general service matching volunteers to suitable opportunities. We also run specific projects targeting members of the community who are under represented in volunteering.
Why volunteer?
Volunteering can provide skills, experience, and that all-important work reference for those who are seeking employment. A volunteer placement is especially useful for people who have no track record in employment. Also those who are looking for a career change, and want to make the most of their transferable skills, can use volunteering to achieve their aims.
However, we must remember that many members of the community use volunteering to increase their own quality of life, confidence and social networks or to improve their local area without having any interest in training or employment.
