What we do
In addition to our general volunteer matching service, we also run several projects designed to encourage those sections of society that are traditionally under represented in volunteering.

- » Our Diversity project aims to give members of BME groups including refugees and asylum seekers the opportunity and support to volunteer.
- » The Disability project has been actively working to dismantle barriers to volunteering for disabled people.
- » The Metamorphoses project's aim is social inclusion, focusing on supporting ex-offenders and people with a history of substance misuse into volunteering.
- » The Best Practice project is aimed at helping registered organisations support and develop volunteers to their full potential.
- » The Move Out Move On (Volunteering) project is a joint venture between Volunteer Centre Islington and Women in Prison. It provides advice and support to women who have been in prison and are thinking about volunteering.
